Company information

The Hotel Sonnengut has been managed by Mr. Hans-Jörg and Mrs. Petra Franzke since 1994. The company currently employs 80 people and has been a founding member of Wellnesshotels & Resorts International since 1997.
The hotel has also been involved in the Bavarian Environmental Pact since 1999 and has held the golden environmental seal for sustainable environmental protection in the hotel industry since 1999.

In 2006, Hotel Sonnengut was named the best wellness resort by Bertelsmann Verlag. Structural measures over the last 20 years have served to improve quality and strengthen the positioning of the Hotel Sonnengut on the hotel market:
In 2001 the freshwater pool with convertible roof was built, in 2004 the wellness area was renovated and modernized, in 2011 the a la carte restaurant “Hirschstube” was created, from 2012 to 2013 all rooms and suites were renovated, modernized and embellished. 2015 saw the major renovation with the extension and enlargement of the Arthur’s1994 Bar, the new entrance to the bar and the remodeling of the restaurant with front cooking station. At the end of 2015, the inner courtyard was redesigned with a new large inner courtyard terrace.
